We have always been told (rather i have always been told) to say NO to many things. It started when i just learnt to walk and my mummy said -say no to strangers especially if they give you goodies
then i went to Sunday school and the teacher said -say no to those kids who want you to play and not listen to bible stories!
Then off to primary school and i was being bombarded with 'say no' left right and center from everyone, the teachers, my parents and most of all from my big brothers who were very devotedly trying to make if not force me to make saying NO a thing i do before i even know what im saying NO to!especially when it came to boys!
After i went to High school, iv never had to say NO to so many things in my life! I cant start listing them here or else my point of writing "why no makes more sense to me lately' will not be made but trust me I realy had to say no to soooooo many things!
But after saying NO to all these things, i came to a point where i can say NO on my own and i get to choose what and to whom and why i should say NO. Lately it as been a strugle to get many things done and as for me " a lady" i realy need my time for manicures ,pedicures, shopping, looking good, staying fit, spiritual and mental growth! but it is apparently becoming a luxury and instead of all other thing revvolving around my life, im finding my life revolving around them!
I refuse and have made a decision to say NO.
NO to all those 'nice movies or serieses' that make me sleep late and look trumped on the following day
NO to bad hair
NO to bad nails
NO to stupid gossip
NO to fruitles friends
NO to unecessary worries
NO, NO, NO, NO!
